    Description

"EWE and ME" by Artist Toni Goffe Humorous Sheep Figurine (A8431) " HARRY" Enesco 2007. Is the same as new, out of the box   2-3 times. Box, itself is in excellent condition. Being a manly sheep Harry is bigger (and probably stronger) than his mate, Dorothy and his children Ruby and Jack.  Don't know if Harry is Scotch or Irish but he is attired in a woolly jumper like the very traditional cabled wool sweaters made in Scotland or Ireland. The detail in his sweater is striking. Harry is wearing a white spread-collar shirt with a gray-blue tie under his woolly. On his feet, Harry is wearing cuffed socks under his classy bi-colored shoes. His brown hat with alternating red and green horizontal and vertical stripes fits just above his ears. If in Scotland, his hat style is called a bunnet; while in Ireland it's a paddy cap.
The artist, Toni Goffe, and his wife were driving in the country and spotted some sheep that had just been shorn. His wife commented that they looked cold and could benefit from something warm to wear. That sparked Toni's artist imagination and the "Ewe and Me" sheep were born. Goffe has made a yearly series of the four sheep attired in different clothing and shoes each year for the past several years. Each year the four have different names, as well.
